Background: Engineer with degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Trinity College Dublin with a focus on mechatronics and embedded system design.
Interest and motivations: Sean is a research engineer with DCU Water Institute. With a background in mechanical and manufacturing engineering Sean’s research interests include embedded system design, mechatronics and manufacturing technologies. Sean is working on the Advanced Decision Support System for Coastal Areas project developing disruptive technology in the form of a low-cost optical sensor and is responsible for the design and integration of the electronic system of the optical sensor.
