Project Summary
This project involves development of a low-cost widely spatially distributed SmartCity-SmartBay infrastructure in Dublin Bay and environs, including deployment of suitable water quality sensors and visual sensing systems to detect environmental change. Key objectives include identification of deployment sites, securing power, telemetry options and permits, data management and informatics including archiving and storage, data analytics for improved detection of change and interaction with other monitoring agencies to improve usage of collected data.
Key Outputs
Working demonstrator systems. Key outputs from this project are expected to include a number of high quality water quality datasets suitable for data analytics and application of machine learning techniques, resulting in high impact publications and dissemination of improved water quality information to the citizens of Dublin through a smart integrated sensor network.
