Water Sampling in Dublin City

Visiting Professor Rosa Maria Penalver took several water samples with the help of PhD student Brian Brennan last Wednesday 11th September. Rosa is a researcher and lecturer based in the Analytical Chemistry Department at University of Murcia in Spain. The samples were taken as part of the work that she has been undertaking in Dublin for the last two months.

Samples were taken from as far out as Ringsend and all the way up the Liffey as far up as Chapelizod. Conditions were bright and sunny for the trip. Rosa is  testing the samples for anions and organics while observing the impact of tides and weather on these parameters.
