DCU recently held a one-day conference about the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The day consisted of scholars across all faculties of the university, with each giving talks about projects and research that they have done, currently doing, or are planning to do in the future with respect to one of the 17 SDGs that are addressed by the UN.
A good amount of the professors giving talks were leading PIs, of the Water Institute. This included the director of the Institute, Prof. Fiona Regan, the current president of DCU, Prof. Brian MacCraith, as well as Prof. Anthony Staines, Dr. James Carton, Prof. Edgar Morgenroth, Prof. Alan Smeaton, Prof. Christine Loscher, Dr. Blanaid White, and Dr. Rob Gillanders.
