Yesterday we launched a little campaign with big hopes.
LoveWater is DCU Water Institute´s campaign to encourage people, businesses and government to think about and love every drop of water.
Water is such a valuable and finite resource with a very high cost for treatment and distribution. Our coastal areas have never before had such appeal as this past 12 months – where we find people turning to swimming in their local – favourite spot for leisure, exercise and wellbeing. The citizen scientists that help us gather valuable data on our rivers, lakes and ponds understand that water has immense importance for our daily lives and for the ecosystem that it supports.
With these two simple words we hope that people will consider how vulnerable and finite this resource is.
We hope that everyone will start to Love Water.
