EurEau – Europe’s water framework gatekeeper

In this month’s Water Café we were joined by Caroline Greene, Communications Manager for EurEau.

Caroline introduced us to EurEau, The European Federation of National Associations of Water Services, their structure, and goals in representing public and private water organisations across Europe. EurEau serves to ensure access to water by securing investments in the sector, as well as protecting water resources from the scourge of pollution and promoting the sustainable use of water in a circular economy.

Caroline laid out EurEau’s framework for tackling 8 of the biggest challenges facing European water services in the coming decade, predominantly securing safe and reliable water sources, being flexible with balancing resources and energy, and ultimately becoming climate neutral by 2050 as part of greater “Green Deal Goals”.
