To celebrate World Water Day, the Water Institute had the privilege of hosting Mr. Will Sarni, founder and CEO of the Water Foundry for a special edition of the Water Café.
Mr. Sarni is the leader of the world leading water consultancy firm The Water Foundry, which provides funding and business support in a host of domains for a wide array of public and private sector clients.
With sustainability consultancy at heart, Mr. Sarni spoke on the physical, regulatory, and reputational risks companies face in the management of water, the corporate value chain of water risks, as well as the delivery of solutions beyond handprints and footprints. The global perspective that has allowed Mr. Sarni such success in his previous ventures shone through in this Water Café, as he spoke on strategies that surpass initiatives, the reality of “net zero” ideals, and companies with “water positive” positions.
While Mr. Sarni often tackles issues surrounding water quality and scarcity from a regulatory, top down perspective, he understands the fundamental role we all play in managing water. As he noted early on in the discussion, global issues manifest locally, and their impacts permeate every aspect of society.
