The Water Institute are thrilled to announce the publication of the inaugural Three-River Water Blitz report, conducted by the dedicated citizens of Chalabre, France and its surrounding regions in September 2022. This ground breaking event marks the very first international Water Blitz hosted by the DCU Water Institute.
During the Three-River Water Blitz on September 16-17, 2022, the DCU Water Institute united citizen scientists in a collective effort to assess nitrate and phosphate levels in the water, thereby providing valuable insights into the current quality of our rivers at that specific moment in time.
This momentous occasion represents the initiation of a transformative journey toward river restoration for the local community in the Chalabre area, signifying a pivotal first step in this crucial endeavour.”
