Urban Citizens project training gets underway

Following a positive response to the project call, a series of townhall and field training sessions have taken place recently.

Starting in July and continuing in September, more than fifty volunteers have taken part in the training, learning about the project background and how to conduct the surveys in the field.

“Big thanks to each of them for joining us”, says Dr Laura Ribero “citizens are showing interest and enthusiasm in monitoring the water quality of our rivers”. “Your involvement is greatly appreciated, and it will contribute to a better understanding and improving of the status of our freshwater ecosystems”.

The training sessions will continue in the next months, for anyone that could not attend yet, and for any new volunteer joining the project.

We are looking forward to seeing the data that you will collect!
