Plastic wrapping on dishwasher tablets
In our attempts to reduce plastic at home, one area that still poses a challenge is the wrapping on dishwater tablets. Some biodegradable options are being developed, but are not there yet at any scale. I encourage people to reduce water use by using a properly filled dishwasher, instead of flowing the water down the sink – but, the issue of the plastic wrapping on dishwasher tablets is a concern.
We can only try to do our best for the environment, until the technology comes along that is more sustainable. Meanwhile, we need to keep seeking out the best and most sustainable technology.
