Well what a morning its been! A superb plenary opening of the #Environ2020 conference with Daire Keogh Fiona Regan Anne Morrissey Liam McCarton Gilles GANTELET making some really valid and important points about importance of research in the future of our climate. The morning continued with the presentations sessions – Water Quality & Resources where key note speak Susan Hegarty spoke about her research around #CitizenScience which led to some really interesting discussions. This continued with some further excellent presentations from researchers such as Azeez Yusuf who discussed the EMPIRE project he is currently working on as a researcher which is funded by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Ireland. Then, Stuart McMichael from Ulster University
who presented on his research on the Disinfection of harvested rainwater using solar driven electrochemically and finally, @Maria CalderoPascaul from Dundalk Institute of Technology delivered her research findings on the Effects of Consecutive Extreme Weather Events on a Temperate Dystrophic Lake.
